Supreme Court Rules for Constitution; Liberals Pissed

The US Supreme Court ruled 5-4 today to strike down limits on the amounts of money corporations can contribute to individual candidates.  It also ruled that the government has no place telling private TV and radio entities what ads to show when, allowing campaign ads right up to election day.  The McCain-Feingold Act infringed upon corporations’ first amendment rights of free speech, according to the Court.

This is a huge victory for strict constitutionalists.  No person should be limited in their support of a given candidate, which this law did.  It limited not only the amount of money a corporation can spend, but also the amount you as an individual can spend to support a particular candidate.  The law was full of holes, obviously, because President Obama got tons of money from labor unions, corporations, and foreign countries for his campaign, along with all the free press coverage with Chris Matthews slobbering all over himself every time Obama spoke.  But this free media coverage is okay, I guess.

I’ve looked over some blogs and the liberal’s panties are twisted tighter than a stripper’s grip on a twenty.  They throw around words like “fascism,” “representative democracy” and others like they actually know what these words mean.  Let me educate you ignorant statists.

First of all, we don’t have a representative democracy.  Our founding fathers specifically designed our country so that it could NOT become a democracy.   Unfortunately, we undid some of their work when we allowed the populace to vote for senators.   Democracy amounts to a mob rule mentality.  We have a representative republic.  Look it up.

Fascism is defined by dictionary.com as   “(sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.”  Obama sees himself as t his transformative figure and has ambitions for more power, right?  Seems to me there’s already a fascist afoot.   The supreme court’s decision allows candidates that aren’t the media’s favorites to have some ammo to fight back with.  That’s not fascism.  It’s called leveling the playing field.  And not tramplign on anyone’s rights to do it.

So, you ignorant liberals get a hold of yourselves.  You should probably find out what these words mean before you go throwing them around.  Maybe you could read the constitution, and not just the parts you like.  Read the whole thing.   Keep a dictionary close by, in case the word “freedom” confuses you, or “liberty” knocks you for a loop.

You can look those up.
